There is a device called a 'Hoffman Voltameter' that uses electrolysis to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. There's another device called a 'Hydrogen Fuel Cell' that combines hydrogen and oxygen, releasing electricity. By storing hydrogen and oxygen in separate tanks we can store way more energy than a conventional battery.
